We’ve made a set of updates to our Slack integration designed to make incident response more collaborative and transparent. These changes help teams quickly understand who is being looped in, when they’re joining, and how they’re engaging with the incident: all directly within Slack.
Seamless Paging = Instant Channel Access
When you page someone in an incident Slack channel, we now automatically add them to the channel as soon as they acknowledge the page. This gets them into the conversation faster so they can immediately start contributing and gathering context.
Alert Responders Join Instantly
Responders added to alerts that are attached to an incident will now be automatically invited to the incident channel. Everyone involved in handling the alert is present in the same place, without needing to manually invite them.
Transparent Alert Acknowledgement
We now post a message in the Slack channel whenever someone acknowledges an attached alert. This gives your team a clear signal about who is actively engaged and when they’re stepping in to help.
Together, these improvements remove coordination overhead and create a shared source of truth right in Slack, helping your team move faster and stay aligned during critical moments.
