With Alert Notes, responders can document key updates directly within an alert, creating a clear and detailed timeline of actions—before, during, or even after resolution.

Why Alert Notes are a Game-Changer:
  • Track Progress
    • Add notes and attachments to capture your debugging steps and findings. Every note appears in the alert timeline, providing a complete history of your response.
  • Simplify Handoffs
    • Share debugging context when reassigning alerts to another team or escalation policy. This ensures smooth transitions and faster resolutions.
  • Stay Flexible
    • Use notes at any stage of the alert lifecycle—whether the alert is open, triggered, acknowledged, or resolved—keeping all key details in one place.
How It Works:
  1. Open any alert in Rootly.
  2. Add a note or attachment to document your findings or updates.
  3. View the alert timeline for a complete record of actions and notes.

🌝 New & Improved

🆕 Escalation paths within an escalation policy can be manually re-ordered to achieve the desired IF, IF-ELSE, and ELSE checking logic. 

🆕 Show Ongoing Incidents form banner now displays the actual name of the incident, instead of just a link to the incident.

💅 Updated Alert Details page to not refresh to Details tab when the user acknowledges or resolves an alert via Rootly’s web UI.

💅 Added ability for allow integrating user to manually select which Jira or Confluence site they wish to integrate with Rootly. Previously, the user must be logged into the correct site during the time of integration.

💅 Revised helper text language for Shift Update Notification toggle to clearly list out all updates that will result in a Slack message sent notifying of shift updates.

🐛 Fixed intermittent issue with future shifts not displaying for some users.

🐛 Fixed inability to set working hours from 00:00 to 24:00 in escalation policies.
