🏗️ Terraform + API Support for Rootly On-Call

Distributed ownership of services is essential for engineering teams operating at an enterprise scale. We already have a leading Terraform provider with over 380,000 downloads to achieve this.

Now, we’ve enhanced our Terraform provider with new data sources to support Rootly On-Call, enabling engineering teams to manage their on-call schedules and escalation policies directly in code.

This also makes it easy to test widespread changes to your Rootly configuration before you implement them, as you can configure your changes in Terraform and deploy to your test environment to ensure everything is working as intended before promoting changes to your production environment.

Learn more about Terraform and Rootly in the Terraform Help docs.

We’ve also enabled API support for Rootly On-Call, which unlocks deeper customization abilities. For example, using the API to automatically add new users to the on-call rotation for their team.

You can find all supported API endpoints here in our API documentation.
